Publicado em 16 de out de 2015

This video documentary portrays the process of collective construction carried on in the years 2013 and 2014, in cities of the five Brazilian regions: Florianópolis / SC, Foz do Iguaçu / PR and Porto Alegre / RS (southern region), Ribeirão Preto / SP (Southeast) Rio Branco / AC and Macapá / AP (North), Goiânia / GO and Cuiabá / MT (Midwest) and João Pessoa / PB (Northeast), in the project REDEFINING PEACE - Trafficking in Women and Sexual Violence: popular education methodology to work with women and men.

From the perspective of redefining the expanded concept of peace - as a daily practice based on human security and justice - the project considers that unfair gender relations are socially constructed, culturally accepted and historically kept, with the worst consequence of violence against women that is embodied in everyday life by domestic violence, sexual violenceand trafficking in women. It also provides for the need to abide the issue and build discussion within the feminist movement and in society as a whole, aiming at the implementation / implementation of public policies. On the other hand, it sees the need for join efforts of women and men to achieve peace, citizenship, equity and advance in democracy building processes. The experience had vital partnerships in different locations, which are detailed in the video.
